Agricultural Dairy Industry of Epirus S.A DODONI was established in 1963 by the Agricultural Bank of Greece and 6 Unions of Agricultural Cooperatives of the Epirus region. Today, DODONI is the leading Greek producer and exporter of cheese products. In 2009 the turnover came to 102,4 million € and net profits reached 2,0 million €.

DODONI is the leading manufacturer of authentic FETA (P.D.O.), which is produced exclusively from fresh pasteurized ewe’s and goat’s milk, with a production capacity of about 15.000 tons annually in a tailor made, completely automated production line. Exported to 30 countries, DODONI Feta is the most branded Greek cheese, synonymous to superior and standard quality and authenticity all over the world.

Machinery and all production departments are constantly renovated. Production potentiality exceeds 400 tons of milk daily. The 60% of milk (ewe’s and goat’s) is used for Feta, 15% for the Greek type cheeses Kefalograviera (P.D.O.), Kefalotyri, Graviera type cheese, Goat cheese, Dry Myzithra and Galotyri (P.D.O.) and 25% (cow’s milk) for fresh milk products, Pasteurized Milk (mainly disposable in the local area), Yogurt and Butter.

DODONI collects the milk from 7.000 stockbreeders from Epirus area. The excellent quality of the milk produced in this area and the traditional way of production are the main factors for the top quality and the fine taste of DODONI products. The company employs 400 people (regularly and seasonally) and cooperates with 1500 clients and suppliers, playing a significant role in the local economy.

In order to bring about greater vertical integration within the production cycle, Dodoni has expanded into the livestock fodder industry. In 2009 it established a subsidiary named DODONI Cattle Foods SA, which operates under the trading name of ZO.DO.

The company applies the process control system HACCP and is certified according to the ISO, BRC and IFS standards of quality assurance for all the stages of production. With the corporate logo on each 2kg block of Feta, the company succeeded to eliminate the imitations of DODONI Feta, guaranteed authenticity and inspired confidence to consumers and traders.

DODONI can pride to have received the “High Quality Award” from the E.U. for the excellent quality of its cheese products, the “Most Branded Product” prize from the Greek Chamber of Commerce and many other distinctions by domestic and international organizations.
